SCIENCE EDUCATION CENTER

The new science building was approximately 65,000 SF and was constructed on the Kentucky Community & Technical College’s Newtown Pike campus in Lexington.  Building construction materials and systems were designed to achieve LEED Silver certification and provide a state of the art learning environment for both students and professors.  The building contains both dry and wet labs, classrooms, offices, and public spaces.

L.A. BROWN SCIENCE CENTER

The Brown Science project involved interior renovation of all (3) 10,000 SF floors of the main science building at Transylvania University.  Included in the project were architectural upgrades to floors and ceilings along with numerous CMU wall relocations for labs, classrooms and common spaces.   All mechanical, electrical, and special systems were upgraded and brought to current codes.

LIVESTOCK DISEASE DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is operated by the University of Kentucky and protects the state’s livestock industry, including the thoroughbred horse industry. This project, which was extremely important to meet various environmental issues, involved a 29,000 SF necropsy/laboratory wing and renovation of 38,000 SF of existing laboratory space.
